Hops
Pellet hops are not in any way "artificial", they are compressed bits of hop flowers that are very handy to use. Most breweries use hop pellets because they retain their fresh aroma longer that leaf (whole) hop flowers. Homebrew Heaven packages each container of hop pellets in an airtight pouch to ensure freshness. ALL Homebrew Heaven hops are kept refrigerated for the same reason. Hop pellets easily dissolve into your wort and fall to the bottom. Most people do not find this to be a concern. After all, the homebrewer just siphons the clear beer away from the bottom of the fermenters. Some people prefer leaf hops because they are more easily strained out of their wort, or because they serve as a "filter-bed" as the wort is drained off into the fermenter. We find that for most purposes, though, hop pellets are every bit as good. In the end, the choice is yours!
