90-92 (WA)The 2009 Pinot Noir Estate, which comes from the lowest elevation vineyards, was made primarily from Rochioli clonal selections. It possesses a deep ruby hue as well as sweet notes of raspberries, spring flowers and blueberries, medium body, gorgeous fruit, elegance and fresh acids. For a winery founded only in 1996 (situated down the road from Dehlinger and Kistler), this estate is on fire, producing Burgundian-styled offerings that are the products of natural yeast fermentations, gentle handling in the cellars, with the Pinot Noirs kept on their lees, and no fining or filtration at bottling.
