2007Papillon Napa Valley Red Wine
90+pts(WA) The 2007 Papillon is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest
other Bordeaux varietals. It exhibits supple, sweet tannin in addition
to lush black cherry and black currant fruit, cedar, toasty new oak,
and spice box. The finish suggests that the wine is still somewhat
restrained and closed, but promising. It should evolve for 15 or more

The color of the wine is deep garnet with an opaque red tinge. It has
aromas of opulent black fruits (cassis, blackberries, black cherries)
and a touch of well-integrated, sweet oak. The entry of the wine is soft
and lush; it sets up the wide yet well defined mid palate. Dark fruit
flavors combined with ripe tannins lead into a long and soft finish. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Merlot 2% Petit Verdot 2% Malbec 1%
