Winery Notes:The 2007 vintage was marked by ideal growing conditions in
Oakville with extremely uniform fruit ripening. Yields were lower than previous vintages and berry size was also reduced
resulting in wonderful concentration.
On the nose, the 2007 displays aromas of cedar, tobacco;
allspice and dark ripe fruits. On the palate, there are flavors of black cherry, current, dark chocolate, all framed by
wonderfully integrated tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is a marriage
of dark fruits and french oak. 2007 Hoopes looks to be one of the best yet from this outstanding property.
