2006 Outpost Wines Zinfandel Howell Mtn
The 2006 Zinfandel is a classic mountain Zinfandel revealing plenty of minerality, spice, herb, and pepper notes along with copious quantities of black raspberry and kirsch fruit. Full-bodied with admirable grip and focus, and no hard edges, it can be drunk over the next 3-4 years.
This beautiful 40-acre estate (19 of which are under vine) high on Howell Mountain enjoys a sensational view of Napa Valley and the Mayacamas Mountains to the west. The renowned Thomas Brown is the winemaker. There are only around 300+ cases of the Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon and significantly less of the single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard.
