Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 Fantesca Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mtn

The nose hints at a rich, spicy vanilla and promises a firm core of dark fruit. The first sip delivers it. This mountain Cabernet, blended with 4% Petit Verdot also from the estate vineyards, shows bright notes of black cherry beautifully framed by integrated tannins. The cherry flavors integrate the polished tannins without ever ceding their place as the focal point of the wine. Although soft, the tannins are ample enough to draw out a long, balanced finish.Complete, with fruit at the front, fullness in the mid-palate, and a sustaining elegant finish, this is the most polished and integrated Cabernet yet produced by Fantesca.
