2006 Bridesmaid Red Wine
Winemakers, Drew Neiman (Kongsgaard, Neiman Cellars), and Pam Starr (Crocker & Starr, Spottswoode), have collaborated by blending their excess barrels. Even though their premium labels sell for almost three times the price, Bridesmaid's quality is equivalent. Bridesmaid Red 2006 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small amount of Syrah. Very dark, sweet, concentrated berry borders on liqueur-ish but not quite. Its very dark color portends the deep, rich, concentrated flavor. Mulberry, black licorice, cola, nutmeg, black cherry. This wine will continue to evolve and open through 2008. This is a California Wine.
