This beautifully crisp white from our Ca’ del Solo estate vineyard in Monterey is perhaps the first wine to be made predominately of the very old Portuguese vinho verde white grape, loureiro, outside the Iberian Peninsula. A variety yet to be recognized in the US, loureiro is known for its striking acidity and exuberant aromatics.

Vinho Grinho exhibits bright aromas of laurel, acacia, lemon blossom, and white ginger, with flavors of wild herbs, citrus rind, and green almond. The finish is long, crisp, and briny. The wine pairs brilliantly with fresh oysters, grilled crustaceans, and sheep’s milk cheeses.
