One of our most popular limited-production wines. Clever, cunning, yet never conniving, its bright raspberriocity of dark fruits and cherry liquor from the old vines of Contra Costa County is rich and savory
with a slyful earthiness, evocative of game and wild spice.
Hand harvested in multiple picking passes from Contra Costa’s oldest carignane and mourvèdre vines, the fruit was rigorously sorted prior to undergoing fermentation in stainless steel, with twice-daily must punched downs and a maceration of 30 days and 30 nights. Élevage: was in French oak barrel and puncheon for 8 months (15% new).
