Febi-Bilstein Weighted Shift Knob

Great upgrade for any Bimmer after 1982 and makes a perfect track knob!

This is a OEM Febi-Bilstein weighted shift knob from the European spec 3 Series. It makes an excellent upgrade for ANY 5-speed Bimmer from 1982 onward. This knob could be the heaviest factory knob to date weighing in at more than 6oz! The knob sets tall on the shifter, and is extremely sturdy. The boxy shape is not necessarily ergonomic, but feels surprisingly great in the palm and looks good in any generation BMW. The knob only comes in a standard gate pattern, 5-speed arrangement for many applications.

This knob makes a great track knob for a number of reasons:

• Cheap, so you can spend you money in more important places!
• Tall construction for better shifting leverage
• Weighted for easier engagement
• Textured plastic for good grip and longevity (leather shift knobs can get slippery in gloves)
• OEM pop-on style gives better security versus generic Allen set screws that can loosen over time or when temperature fluctuates
• For some reason these are very difficult to get back off! Anyone that's had a factory knob pop off in the middle of a high-speed straight knows that's a good thing!

Sold as a shift knob only - cars with one-piece knob and boot (ie. E46 M3) will require modification of existing boot.
