E36 Big Bore/Large Diameter Performance Throttle Body

This throttle body is a true race piece, not a re-warmed, over-bored stock unit

Headers make big changes in power output, but after that, the throttle body is the biggest restriction in your car's engine - a glorified air pump.  Add cams and your throttle body is choking the flow.  Once you free up the other restrictions, the 64mm stock throttle body just doesn't cut it.  These units are new pieces, not rebored stock parts.

Available in two diameters to meet your engines performance needs:

70mm - The 70mm version of our throttle body is excellent for stock cam M3 engines and modified 2.8L and M3 engines in most applications.  Installation requires modification of the factory intake plenum to enlarge the intake opening and a modified BimmerWorld Silicone Intake Boot (not included)

75mm - This component is designed for use with high RPM engines that are moving big air - you must have cams and a full race exhaust including large primary headers to see the full benefit.  Gains can be in the 10-15Hp range for a 3.2L race engine with our Sunbelt Stage 3 cams with all other accessories maximized, but if your engine is not flowing as much air, gains will be reduced.  Installation requires modification of the factory intake plenum to enlarge the intake opening and a modified BimmerWorld Silicone Intake Boot or 3.5" silicone elbow (not included)

 Fits M50/52 engines (1992-1999, 325-M3) with OBD-1 electronics.
