Over the years we have heard story after story of the dreaded "money-downshift" where a e36/e46 driver accidentally downshifts from 5th to 2nd gear for an instant engine disaster! This issue has been increasingly common as the stock transmission mounts continue to weaken from age, allowing the transmission to move under load. As the transmission moves left and right, the gear shift assembly becomes less accurate increasing the chances of mis-shifts. The best solution is a stiffened transmission mount set that decreases the movement of the transmission allowing more accurate shifts and better power delivery through the drivetrain.

Our transmission mounts have been designed to greatly reduce transmission movement while minimizing the increase in NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) in the cabin. We've incorporated a medium durometer urethane for NVH isolation and a alloy upper cup to greatly reduce movement. This combination make an excellent compromise for street cars seeing numerous track weekends a year. We also suggest this kit for track dedicated cars not needing a solid mounting solution. For cars making occasional track/autocross visits or drivers more sensitive to NVH, we suggest a less aggressive Rogue Engineering transmission mount set also found in our online catalogue.
